The Consulting Group is very special to me. As a graduate of one of my trainings, I know you have a firm grounding in facts about sexuality; that means we can dive right into the complex stuff! I love the freedom that this shared knowledge base gives us. It means we don’t need a set syllabus; we can spend our time exploring whatever topics are most relevant to you and your clients. 

Each session will be guided by the cases that you and your colleagues bring in. We’ll practice applying advanced relational techniques to build your skills and increase your confidence, and we’ll make sure that you’re ready to make some real progress in your very next session.  

It also offers the opportunity to delve deeper into special topics - like kink, sex work, the intersection of sex and disability, and anything else you need some expert guidance to tackle!

Oh yes. This is by far the best way to get my personal feedback on your cases. In fact, I often suggest it as a more cost-effective way to consult with me. 

Besides my feedback, you’ll be joining a group of truly excellent therapists, each of whom bring their own particular expertise to the conversation. This is truly a collaborative community. We’ll track your cases together as they progress, and cheer you on as you grow in your practice!

This course does work best in a live format–that’s the downside of centering the experience around individual feedback and attention–and I’ve made a few different choices to try and ensure that almost everyone will be able to make at least some meetings: I offer 3 different groups that meet at different times, to accommodate as many time zones as possible, and I shift around the days on which the groups meet, in order to ensure that, even if you have a weekly commitment, you won’t miss out. 

But you certainly don’t have to make all the meetings, and most of our consulting group members don’t! All of the sessions will be recorded and posted on our private course site, so you can catch up at your convenience.

How often does the group meet? The consulting group will meet for 90 minutes, twice each month.

What day of the week do we meet? Each month, the meeting days for the consulting group will shift. (This ensures that members who have regular conflicts on a particular day will still be able to attend some meetings.) The group will meet only on weekdays. You will know the schedule well in advance, so you can add the meetings to your calendar.

What time of day do we meet? If you join the Green Group, we will always meet at 11am Central Time USA. If you join the Purple Group, the meetings will be at 1pm Central Time USA, and Blue Group meets at 5pm Central Time USA. Use this world clock to see what time that corresponds to in your time zone.

My consulting group is approved for 3 CEUs per month from the American Association of Sexuality Counselors, Educators, and Therapists* after completion of a post-test and evaluation. If you want to request CEUs from your own professional organization, you can take the post-test to get a certificate of completion with a detailed syllabus and learning objectives to support your request. Your professional organization guidelines should give you a good indication of whether they will accept my course and/or AASECT credits for CEUs, but I cannot guarantee or predict the outcome.

Yes, I have a limited number of reduced-fee scholarships available.
