Reduced-Fee Scholarship Information and Application

My mission:

I aspire to help create a world in which all therapists feel comfortable discussing sex in therapy, and in which all have access to the training they need in order to do so with accuracy, skill, and confidence. To this end, I write, speak, teach, and create online and in-person learning opportunities.

Why I offer scholarships:

I am aware that some of the most amazing and deserving helping professionals in the world may not have the ability to pay the full fee for my course. For that reason, I offer a limited number of reduced-fee scholarships.

How to decide if you should apply:

Reduced fee scholarships are intended to benefit students who truly need them. Before you apply, I ask that you consider carefully. If you are able to afford the list price, please leave the spot for someone who needs it. If you can afford to, and want to help other therapists with limited financial resources, you can also contribute to the fund that the reduced fee scholarships are drawn from.

Who is the ideal applicant?

The ideal applicant is:

  • Someone who is committed to expanding their skills in working with sex issues.
  • Has a clear idea of why they want to join my consulting group, and what they will do with the information they gain.
  • Is excited about the opportunity to participate in the group.
  • Has ideas about how they will pay it forward.
  • Is interested in being an active part of the online learning community for the next several months.
  • Wants to make a difference in their community and the world.

Application process:

  • Why do you want to join my Assessing and Treating Sex Issues in Psychotherapy - Level 2 Consulting Group?
  • How do you plan to use the knowledge you gain from this group to benefit yourself and your community?
  • Please explain to me why you think you qualify for a reduced fee, and tell me how much you feel you can afford to pay.
  • How do you plan to participate in, and nurture, the online community of helping professionals who are in the group this year?
  • Do you have at least three hours per month (on average) to dedicate to the consulting group?

Please write out your responses, devoting no more than a paragraph to each question, and email to [email protected].

Decision-making process:

I and my team make all decisions regarding reduced-fee scholarships, and those decisions are final. The amount of financial help available depends in part on donations. My team and I will confirm receipt of your application, and let you know the outcome as soon as we are able.
