How do you turn a ‘roommate relationship’

– where the spark has been snuffed out

over the course of decades –

back into a love affair?

Meet Abby and Julian. Newly empty-nesters, they're starting to realize just how much distance has grown between them over the years. They’ve dealt with serious disillusionment, health challenges, aging parents, the piled-on stressors of daily living… and under all that weight, the spark in their relationship was snuffed out.

In this course, we’ll dive deep into their case. Watch as I unravel the hairball of unrepaired disillusionments, resentments, and stressors that has smothered the spark out of their love story – and witness the unfolding as they learn how to turn towards one another again.

Meet your presenter

My name is Martha Kauppi. As an educator and AASECT-certified sex therapist, I’ve devoted my career to helping therapists, coaches, and other helping professionals build the skills they need to work effectively with sex issues and complicated relationship dynamics.

Recently, I reached out to my whole audience to learn about what sex issues and relational dynamics they found most challenging to work with. As I read through the responses, a common theme quickly emerged  – midlife relationships with a feeling that the spark has been irretrievably smothered under many years of history. This course is my response to the many, many therapists who have struggled with this all-too-common dynamic.
